The Sunshine Coast Event Industry Association (SCEIA) is committed to building a connected community of events industry businesses and sharing insights and knowledge across that community. In line with this, SCEIA, with support from Sunshine Coast Council, has programmed the following upcoming events:

Workshops

Planning Truly Accessible Events - 3 August

This workshop be led by disability advocate and former Paralympic athlete Paul Nunnari. Paul has worked across numerous accessibility and inclusion projects and is deeply passionate about ensuring that equity, opportunity and dignity are a key part to any event experience. more details to come.

In Good Company

A free monthly series of small group discussions for local event businesses. Led by SCEIA Industry Professionals, these events are designed to share ideas and tackle real industry challenges together.

• 22 July - How to be successful in securing event sponsorship with Min Swan, John Williams and Dr Lenny Vance

• 5 August - Planning and chairing meetings that deliver actions and outcomes with Jan Willett.

• 2 September - Planning and Delivering a Great Event - creating a Viable Event Concept

• 7 October - Planning and Delivering a Great Event - Event Supply and Logistics led by Michael Williams

• 4 November - Planning and Delivering a Great Event - Risk Management led by Mel West and Brenda LaPorte.
