How the world will experience the Sunshine Coast

This special event fostered a powerful industry conversation exploring how we can design unforgettable spectator experiences as the Sunshine Coast prepared to welcome global audiences for the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Special guest and key note speaker was Sandy Hollway AM. Former CEO of the Sydney Olympic Games Organising Committee. Widely regarded as the best games ever, Sandy oversaw the co-ordination of more than 12,000 people and an event that set new global benchmarks.
Joining Sandy in conversation were:
Greg Bowman OAM - Global event producer and founder of Great Big Events, responsible for shaping the sound, music and pageantry of major events including Olympic Games, Rugby World Cups and Commonwealth Games.
Sandy Deans - Community and business engagement leader with Sunshine Coast 2032, focused on connecting industry, volunteers and community in preparation for the 2032 Games.
In these three videos Sand Hollway shares his thoughts on what makes for a successful games hosting experience.
There is also a video interview with SCEIA Secretary Brenda LaPorte - who has worked extensively with both Sandy Hollway and Greg Bowman - and Head of Tourism and Major Events at Sunshine Coast Council Lucy Ravenwood - who started her career as an intern with Greg Bowman and went on to work at the Rugby World Cup with Great Big Events.
Photos from the event show the who's who of local government and industry were in attendance for this sold out event.
